About sms indication in silent mode

Hii guys,

                Let say I set my mobile on silent mode and vibrate is off.so when new sms will come so at tha time my MAIN LCD display will be blink or some notification in MAIN LCD.i know that it already give notification on top most small led.but i need to blink my MAIN LCD.is there any way to do this or my phone has problem?? Please tell me. what abt you? you also have same issue.when phone comes in same case at that time MAIN LCD blinks.then why not on sms.any Idea. Thanks.

There is nothing wrong with your phone. It's how Android phone works. For phone calls, yes, it will 'wake' your phone up, but once the call is not attended, it will go back to 'sleep' and and the LED will start to blink.

download handcent sms from the android market..

go through the settings and there you will find the option to do the same

unfortunately you cannot do this with the stock messaging app..ou have to download handcent..

you can even reply with the screen locked

it will lit up the screen and you cn read and reply without unlocking the phone..

Thanks buddy for your reply.i got what i want.but still i say these all are basic things.These all things must be in andorid.we say these are smart phone with andorid but i would like to say some basic features are not there which are available on very old generation phone..

the whole point of being an android phone is customisation

i mean for example you want this feature of messaging to light up..

but me , i dont want that

so if they have added this feature as a basic feature , it was of no use for me.. and would have consumed ram and space..

and its just not one thing , there is no 1 type of user but many types..  so they can customise the way they want

This is better then handcent.sms awake is better becuase it only gives u light indication nothing else.

well you can set this in handcent also

go through the settings again..you can do anything you want..
