Hi!
Just bought Sony Xperia S (LT26i). Everything went smooth until i downloaded and installed latest 4.0.4 Android ( 6.1.A.2.45 ). Before i could use from settings to put Mass Storage mode on and my car stereo Pioneer 6800 found my phone and i could listen .mp3 from internal memory ( 25Gb ). But with new Android version i can't find that option anymore and stereo always say N/A Usb. It will charge my phone battery thou.
I did find solution (maybe) for it but then i should "root" my phone and i don't do it because the warranty issues after that. So what can i do to use my car stereo? Pioneer doesn't have AUX or Bluetooth possibilities. Only SD and USB.
Should i just wait 4.1 update if then it works again? Thank you for any help.
Cheers!

you can downgrade to 2.3.7 but trust me it wasn't there, you weren't able to select it at all. what I think it is, a compatibility issue with ICS and your stereo. if it has an Aux 3.5mm connector (your stereo) you could use a 3.5mm male to male cable from your phone to your car stereo

that's not quite true, the Xperia S does NOT have that option (to use it as mass storage) I have an Xperia S and it was never available not with 2.3.7 not 4.0.4 or the latest 4.0.4

I could use xperia settings and from there it asked umm.. 2 options. Mass storage or something else. Can't remember that. I live in Finland so if that helps. Regional thing maybe? Well... is there reasonable way to connect my 25Gb storage with USB to my stereo again or should i just buy new Sony stereos with bluetooth on it?

Okay. I don't know then what happened. Does Xperia S have FM sender so i could sent my .mp3 to the radio and listen that way like some older Nokia phones has? Great phone this S but big minus because of this...
it has an FM antenna but not FM transmiter
