SD card gets corrupted after Marshmallow update

Since Marshmallow (6.0) update on my Xperia M5 Dual SD card showing corrupted. but previously it was working fine on the lollipop.
after formatting the SD card in the safe mode, Phone detected the SD card.

but i cant copy paste anything into it.

when i use camera (data storage is set to SD card)  pics are not saving on SD card, it is showing "There is some problem with your data storage"

I checked the SD card it is working in all other phones.
Any solution Please ..

Exact same with me I have now tried three different SD cards and they all have the same outcome so this clearly isn't about faulty cards it must be due to marshmallow upgrade. Not impressed

Incidently, how do you revert to Lollipop?....

CORRECTION: Ignore the "convert the SD Card to Fat32" bit; it didn't work, but the rest is fine.  What I am doing instead, is getting a charging usb otg hub, so I can read my data from my usb through the otg and still have it charged all at once.  So either, if you can, revert back to lollipop, or await the marshmallow update....

Dear Sony,

It has been more than 2 months since we got Marshmallow update for Xperia M5 (E5653)

Since then SD card shows corrupted, leaving lots of users not able to use expandable memory

There is no update for this SD corrupted issue as yet

It doesn't matter if M5 users won't be getting Android Nougat, but atleast fix the issue already for Marshmallow

Backdiamond, how to go back to lollipop?

you can flash a new OS on your phone although it might void any warranties (not sure on that one though), other than that, you can't revert to lower versions since the factory reset will just use the lowest build for your recent OS installed. Hope an OS update or patch perhaps would be available to fix the SD Card issue.

Confirmed, I can see the update via Companion on PC. But everything started with previous update, where my phone got broken(lost all my setup, did 3 times because of the sd card issue), I want to be sure if this what I'm looking for, otherwise setting up the device all again is a huge effort "for nothing".

Any ideas where to find details about the update? I couldn't seem to find any.

Thanks for heads up Georges98 !
