Hi
I have problem with using of GPS. When I am using my endomondo it fixed the location, but after few minutes it just loses the gps signal on the open road under clear sky and looks like it remains in search mode. It never fix position again. I need to manualy disable GPS. And after enabling it will fixed within few seconds. Unfortunatelly this problem occurs randomly and always I have to do this GPS disable/enable procedure. And this is really annoying.
Similar behaviour happen with other software like Sygic navi or GPS test
Is there any help? New firmware? Anything?
I am using Xperiam M Dual
model c2005
android 4.2.2
kernel 3.4.0
build number 15.2.A.1.12 (latest in our country)
Thank you
I have the same problem. My Xperia M is running15.4.A.1.9 - Android 4.3.
Yes. Manually turn off GPS and on again seemed to get the GPS signal back but it will search again forever if signal is lost. It is most likely hardware problem as it can be fixed by disable GPS and enable GPS again. It might possibly be kernel driver issue.
After upgrade to 4.2.2, in backup-reset menu restore factory default settings.
I had a same problem one month back. Solution is sign out and sign in google map, It will work.
Hi all!
What do you want? You have bought Sony Xperia M mobile phone so how can you be surprised that there are some problems. Buy iPhone and your problems will be solved ASAP! Sony is only next kind of makers which makeing next and next like Samsung etc.
So if you wat to solve it you have three ways how to do it:
1. Root your phone and install program which automatically restart GPS after signal lost.
2. Root your phone and install Cyanogenmod or the other open source ROM
3. Kick of Sony Xperia M and buy another phone...... not from Sony!
PS: This problem is really old and support from sony always said: Restart your mobile, dowload last firmware etc. Thanks for nothing Sony!!!
First message 2014-01... last 2015-03 😕 Now 2016-03 same problem with GPS. Model D5103, Android 4.4.4. Version 18.1.A.2.25.
Now 2017 05 02... Sony T3 D5103 have same problem with GPS
Same problem here with XA Ultra 6"and still same thing.
Problem is not with software version, the problem with the manufacturer themselves.
I think I ll make the right decision and switch to I phone and never think of anything else. Pro
I keep on losing my gps signal, even though my network is working, and not in a deserted area. I would be in the middle of the highway and then lose signal. I got lost the other day because of this. I'm so disappointed, it never happened with my samsung and now it keeps on happenig with the premium xperia which needless to say I paid premium price for it.Did u find a solution for this problem?
