M5: Both camera stopped. Then one of the microfones.

Bot cameras Just stopped one Day. Did not dropp it but it does have a skratch on the side from a few months ago. This was the reason why the service place told me it was damaged, there message was: ether fix it for almost the same cost as the phone cost new(1500kr+transport, the phone kost 2222kr new on sale) or pay 400kr (40 $) to get it back in the same condition. Kind of messed upp but beeing the geek i am i want to get to the bottom of this and fix it myself.

The cost of parts is around 171,50 kr (17,15 $). But this looks more like a software problem than a hardware problem since the first microfone suddenly stopped working short afther.

I mean it should be a garante thing. In Norway we have reklamasjon witch eksteds garantee to 5 years. But ether way, the phone is 6months. So this kind of problem should not happen. Since ive worked in support like this before, i get frustrated. This is not right so i will give them mye opinion afther fixing it.

I checked to see if others had the same problem and i did find alot, but no solution. Here are some:

"Having the same issue as well. I can hear the other party on the phone call but they cannot help me. I ran diagnostics on the phone but could only hear static, but would make a noise if I touched the microphone. I launched the phone in safe mode but no change was made and I then performed a repair update through the companion app but the issue has still not been resolved? Are there any other solutions that could be taken here?"

try software repair using Xperia Companion

other than that there is nothing else you can do, and repairing it with yourself will void warranty
