Today my screen decided to turn off completly. My phone is receiving calls but I can't answer cause I don't have acces to the screen. I can't turn it off and restart it because I don't see nothing. Help me out guys. Is there anything I can try before sending it to repair again for the third time since I bought it.

If you remove the SIM card it will restart the phone
if you press and hold the power & volume up buttons for few seconds it will force restart the phone

I follow the instruction take out the sim card, if you press and hold the power & volume up buttons for few seconds it will force restart the phone. The phone just vibrate 1second only, but still blacked out.
When I am charging, I can see red light on top left hand side.
Is there anything else that I can do?
Every 6 months my screen blacked out. Also, it heats
Nothing works and i have to go to AT&T to get some help and reset the sistem.

Hello everyone unfortunate enough to own the worst phone that is still on the market. I cheked my email today put my phone on the table picked it up 20 minutes later DEAD it was showing 50% battery before checking mail now it is plugged into charger(USB) which came with it no red light black screen approximately 10 months old Sorry I ever bought it thought Sony corp was better than this, have tried all the fixes on the forums NADA looks like its the bin for this piece of worthless crap. Dont let anyone you like buy this phone unless they need a doorstop
Hi
How did you solve problem? As my phone is doing the same.
With Thanks
When I had this black screen problem I ended up replacing the screen. The digitizer on the replacement screen is giving me occasional issues so be careful which screen replacement you buy and also where you get it repaired if not Sony directly. The guy who replaced my first screen created 10 new issues with my phone including terrible signal and no camera. I then replaced the screen myself as well as installing a new camera. It's a shame the replacement digitizer is misbehaving by randomly clicking on icons/apps and making it difficult to use the Swype keypad until I turn the screen off by pressing the power button. It doesn't need a restart, just needs to be turned off and back on. It's sometimes challenging to then enter my pattern to unlock the phone. FUN FUN FUN!
