M4 Aqua Micro Sd Card speed Specification

Hi,

I just bought a new M4 aqua phone.

Now I am looking to buy a new Micro SD Card for my phone.

I saw online that their are many speed specifications availaible for micro Sd cards, i.e. class 10, UHS 1, UHS 3 etc.... with Read/Write speeds ranging from 30Mb/sec to 95 Mb/Sec.

I wanted to know what is the maximum possible Micro SD Card speed supported by M4 Aqua?

I know that the maximum memory it supports is 128 Gb But what is the maximum possible speed SD Card that I can instalkl in M4 Aqua.

Regards

Yuri

Xperia M4 Aqua supports 128 gb MicroSD cards and will be able to use any class/UHS class. We do however not have any specifications on what speed the phone supports but for example when transferring files from a computer the higher class the better, as the speed increases.

@YSeekingAlpha There is no need for such a fast microSD on a smartphone. 4K recording (which M4 doesn't support) requires at least class 10 microSD. So you are fine with class 10,perhaps UHS I.

Thats my point....its nice to read any class but specifications matter i would rather spend 5 quid extra on. UHS 3 card than UHS 1 but it should be mensioned clearly. 128 Gb micro Sd card that supports UHS 3 is rneasonably expensive than UHS 1, I believe sony should clarify this in their specifications. Anywho thanks for your inputs but honestly I am not extremely satisfied.

I just test the external sd card, It's read/write speed is both limited to about 40MB/s.

(tested by A1 SD Bench & Kingston SDCA10/64GB)

So, it seems to be not supported the UHS-I 104MB/s, but 50MB/s.

And we still can use a better card for the writing speed.

Thank you all for your valuable inputs... They all were quite useful in making an informed decision.... I received the following official response from sony...Hopefully will be helpful to someone else also.....

Dear Yuri,

Thank you for contacting the Sony Xperia support centre.

In regards of the Xperia M4 Aqua and the class of Micro SD card.

We would advise the device can use up to a 128GB, class 10 SD card.

Please avoid a UHS SD card as these are not compatible with the M4 Aqua.

Other then that you should face no issues with Micro SD cards.

We hope this helps.

Was looking into getting a SD card for my new phone and when I popped open the slot there was a paper in there. Grabbed tweezers to pull it out and it gets stuck near the end. I tugged on it a tiny bit but I don't want to break it and have a piece floating in my phone. BASICALLY i was just wondering if i should go ahead and rip it out or if i got some factory warrenty/safety garbage on my phone...

Mate the sd card slot for xperia m4 is bad
The spring that clicks in my sd card is ruined from a slightly larger sd card.

You need to find a sandisk card that is thiner and it will fit. If its not too late

UHS micro sd cards not compatible? And this comes from an official Sony reply? Pffffff

I use a Samsung Pro+ 32gb micro sd which is UHS-3 and it works just fine.... Get it together with your products Sony...
