I'm trying to download apps from Google Play, and am constantly faced with the pop up message:
"Insufficient storage
This device doesn't have enough space to download "APP NAME".
Consider deleteing apps or content that you no longer need and try again."
Frustratingly though, I have over 403MB of space available on internal memory and have moved literally everything that I can do onto the SD Card.
I've restarted, cleared caches, etc. How can I solve this error? Nothing will install anymore!

Settings > storage > how much free internal storage does your phone has?
I am trying to sort my Moms phone out for her- it is very frustrating!
She has a 64gb memory card but the phone will not allow me to move any of her apps or pictures to it. I know it isnt the memory card as I have tried it in another phone and it works fine.
All the options to move to SD card are greyed out and the SD card doesnt show up as an option to move pictures and other files to! It is driving me potty and I am normally good at these things! Help please!
Reformat the SD card and check again, keep in mind that you can't move all the apps to the SD card.
Hi! My son's Sony Experia M4 Aqua phone memory is filling up and we can't seem to figure out how to resolve this. The phone's own internal memory is 8Gb and the newest Android OS (that has been updated regularly) takes now over 4Gb of it. The mandatory apps take more space (the ones you can't delete) from the internal memory. At the moment there is just 400Mb of space left on it but the 32 Gb MIcro SD would have plenty more space... Just that without some rooting (which we do not want to do) there seems to be little ways to make room to the phone memory.
How can the phone internal memory fillu-up be helped in this case? He (the son) does not have any large media files (video, pictures, audio) on the phone memory, nor does he have any unusal apps to hog space. We have checked that.
It seems we run out of memory soon and the only way we can get out of it is to buy another model phone with larger phone memory... 🙂 for example my Lumia 830 has 16Gb and I have used about 8,56Gb of it. Somehow I can't believe that this phone model would have "too little" internal memory and there is nothing you can do about it.
PLease can you help???
Hello all,
I am an user of an Xperia M4 Acqua that I bought at FNAC a year and a half ago, so I guess it should be "free" from any telephone company.
I think we all experience the lack of internal storage of these devices, since the 8gb are occupied in my case 4gb by android and sony apps that are almost useless, and only 3 - 3,5 gb by the apps I need (a dictionary, whatsap, telegram and Line).
Last week the software was updated to Android 6 and this last Monday I started receiving messages about an app that should be moved to the SD card. To my surprise, this was the Line app, which before the update was in the SD card. The link to change storage is ok but when I start transferring this transfer is stopped because lack of storage. This is not true. Line occupies 120-130mb and there are about 20 gb in the SD card. I write here because I wrote to Line and got no answer and because I think this is a serious failure of android and/or sony software, not recognizing real things as they are.
In fact, when entering settings now in Android 6, the apps memory occupation is all messed up at the beginning. So I think this storage space recognition is a serious drawback that should be solved.
I tried to unblock the phone in order to free this storage but it says that unblock is not allowed. I do not understand since I bought it in FNAC.
This is a crappy smartphone that makes me wish never have bought an smartphone anyway.
