GPS issues after lollipop

Hello everyone, I have upgraded my m2 to lollipop and all was right until yesterday when I used here maps. I set my destination and GPS found my position, but after a bit it lost signal, and after a bit it found me, after a bit it lost me, etc..... I tried with Google maps but it was the same, I tried this morning and same as yesterday... I am the only one with this issue?

We have now started rolling out a new version of the firmware, 18.6.A.0.182. This update contains a fix for the GPS so please update your phone when the update is available for your unit.

I can confirm the update appears to have fixed the GPS issues.  For the first time in months I'm able to use the GPS speedometer on my car dock app.  When using google maps the position indicator moved smoothly rather than in fits and starts, and was accurate as far as I can tell.

So thanks Sony.  However, it begs the question why you did not tell your Xperia support staff that these issues were present and were going to be fixed?  You obviously knew about them since you've now fixed them.  Why was I told it wasn't a common problem and why did I have to send my phone in for needless repairs?

No, the GPS problem is not solved! HERE Maps and Google Maps don't show my location, because there is no GPS signal. Also, no satellites are found in GPS test.

Glad to hear that it's working fine now and sorry to hear that you didn't get this information when you were in contact with your local support. I'm afraid i'm not sure why you didn't get information that we were working on a software update that improves the GPS.

Sorry to hear that.

First check so that you have the latest version of the firmware, 18.6.A.0.182, under Settings -> About phone.

But if you don't get any GPS-signal at all this sounds like it might be something else. I recommend that you first try the suggestions here and that you also try to do a software repair using PC Companion. If the GPS still doesn't work i recommend that you contact a service centre or Local support to have your phone checked.

Updated to the latest version of Lollipop an tested my Sygic, all works fine as new! No problems reported
