Gmail is not autosyncing

Hi,

Gmail app is not autosyncing. I have to open an app and refresh manually if I want to get emails.

Other parts of Google account are working fine (calendar, Keep etc). Autosync is ON, Stamina is Off.

What was done to check:

 - delete and recreate google account on the phone

 - deleted  Gmail app updates

 - reinstalled the app

 - reboot the phone

nothing helps. Any suggestions? thank you!

hi Alexander, I have tried all of these. no changes.

So the last point was to make Factory reset. Done. And Gmail is working fine now.

That's sad we must do such actions to correct software issues...

Hi,

First of all make sure that you have Gmail set as synced under settings > Google > tap your Gmail account > sync Gmail.

Also open the Gmail app > menu button > settings > tap your Gmail adress > sync Gmail.

Restart your phone and try again.

That's strange. Try to clear data for the Gmail app.

If you experience the same behavior I would suggest that you delete your Google account and try with another Google account to see if it works.

And if you still have the same problem I suggest that you repair/reinstall the latest software using PC Companion:

http://www.sonymobile.com/update

In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > Press the blue link that says "Repair phone/tablet".

Before repairing the software in your device you may want to backup your information first. Check out this topic for more information on how to:
