If your TV supports screen mirroring (Miracast) you can connect your phone to your TV from Settings -> Xperia Connectivity -> Screen mirroring. If your TV doesn't have Miracast there are also some 3:rd party Miracast adapters available that you connect to your TV using HDMI.
If your TV supports DLNA you can also throw pictures, music and videos to it. If you open for example a picture and tap [menu] you can select "Throw" and then your TV.

M2 need just miracast adaptor or wifi network is a must? Could you share hdmi miracast adaptor fully tested, even without wifi? I'd like mirror my M2 phone playing TV in my old 32" LCD Daewoo HD Ready with hdmi port or VGA port or SCART port.
