also whenever i go to settings>storage>transfer data to SD card , it fails to do so and insted displays "unfortunately settings has stopped".
pls help.
first backup your data with pc companion you will not lose any apps and their data then do factory reset.
if you want to revert back visit your nearest sony service center they might be able to downgrade your phone .
Reinstall the update, keep in mind that app/game developers have address any issues
After a big firmware update like this one is suggested to do a factory reset to avoid conflict with apps installed.
Try it

What do you mean? Give more info.
Make sure your connected to the internet, preferably Wi-Fi.
Make sure you've correctly set-up your Google account and that the latest version of the Play store is installed (it updates itself).
If your installing apps from elsewhere e.g. SD card then untick unknown sources setting (security risk) in Settings>Security.
Try moving some apps back to the device memory if you have moved them to the internal storage, many people report that this works especially with games.
If you give more information then you get more detailed help, I have no idea what sort of problem your experiencing.
