How do I permanently disable wifi on my Xperia L4 ? I keep getting popups asking for permission to use the wireless network for calls, which I refuse, but the system immediately asks again. My phone is used as a phone, it doesn't have access to the internet (everything internet related is disabled) and it will never be connected to my wireless network. I would rather not root it if possible.

This one lasts a week with all the rubbish turned off.
I'll just put up with it. Next time I change phone I'll make sure I can turn the rubbish off before I get it.
Thanks for all the replies.
In wi-fi settings you can find wi-fi preferences.
Switch it off over there.
And disable wi-fi calling, Voip
Hi, thanks for your reply. I've already done all that. It still asks for permission to use wifi for calls.
Then tell it to keep it's mouth shut. 😉
Either you will need to root your device or perhaps flashing a different region firmware so this feature wouldn't be supported
Thanks. So I just have to put up with it. Well done Sony.
Are you sure that the Wi-Fi is disabled? because i don't receive such messages unless the Wi-Fi is enabled and I'm not connected to any network.
yes, that's why it's so irritating.
If it's just for calling then why don't you get your hands on a Nokia 3310.
The battery lasts for a week and you wont have annoyances from the internet.
Which reminds me of another thing.
For my car I use a SIM card where the provider switched off everything WiFi or I did it myself, don't remember.
Before it was using 3G and after just 2G and no more prepaid drain.
