The BBC iPlayer has been given an overhaul. The problem is that the new interface gives a "not enough memory" error - and we're now unable to use the iPlayer.
It's a problem that has also been registered by others at the BBC's iPlayer forum.
Can we rewind to the old interface please ?

Its something to do with the way that BBC servers handle specific ranges of IP addresses (presumably utilised by certain ISP's) which basically causes devices to glitch and error, thus resulting the error message on screen.
Hopefully the solution is just around the corner.
Thanks

We may have just turned that corner. I've just got the right screen for the iPlayer.....
Fingers crossed that this is a permenant solution.
A tentative thanks to those who made it happen.
As a customer relation exercise it should be noted that when we were told it was a problem and it was in hand, we reacted well, when kept in the dark we got our burning torches and pitchforks and got ready to storm the castle.
Now where's my remote.....

Sounds promising - do let me know if things have improved over the next few days.

Sorry but still not working for me either 😞
3 months ot warranty to run before I return the player as not working as advertised.
Pity as in all other respects it's a great machine.

My iPlayer connection came back to life a few days ago - I've waited until now before posting this message just to make sure that the fix was not temporary.
Many thanks to Catmambo and all those others who have been responsible for getting this sorted.
It's been a frustrating few weeks but I'm pleased that it's working and I'm once again happy to recommend the S370.

I am new to this discussion, so please excuse me if I misunderstand it. Are you saying that the iPlayer only fails on certain ISPs? I have BT infinity and was thinking of getting this player. I have used iPlayer on two Humax boxes for about a year with no problems, so don't really need iPlayer on this, but it would be useful.
Second, the Wii iPlayer is very low quality compared with Humax, which gives a high quality option too. Is this the case with this player?
Third, "not enough memory" seems to indicate that iPlayer has exhausted the internal memory. How come? Is there not enough memory for iPlayer to run or is it a storage problem?

Hi the BBC & Talk Talk had an issue, the player was being sent the PC version in error and that is why the memory was full, it is meant to get the small product interface, however all is resolved at the BBC end now.
