Hi all,
I have just purchased the excellent XR-55A95L QD OLED TV, but have found that when watching a disc through my HDMI connected Sony UBP-x700 4K player, then through a quite long in the tooth, non HDMI Sony STR DB-780 receiver/amp, there is a significant sync issue between the speech on the TV and the corresponding speech from the amp.
I have used the audio sync option on the player to try and match the two, ramping it up to 100d/bs difference, but there is still a slight delay, which I can live with, but do you think this would be corrected if I replaced the amp with a HDMI audio input ?
My old amp still kicks ass, but is now 20 years old, but it still seems a big layout if the sync issue isnt corrected.
Thanks in advance.
Paul
Hey,
HDMI is way faster than optical, and I think using HDMI can vastly improve this situation.
But, in the meantime, you can try turning off your TV and unplugging everything from the mains for at least 2 minutes, then test again
Also, let us know how are you connecting everything together.
