Sony STR-DN-1080 & Apple TV 4K

Hi folks,

I hope someone can help, I have recently purchased this awesome receiver and it produces great sound for all of my equipment - except for my Apple TV 4K. I have the Apple TV plugged into the Video 2 HDMI channel - but I wonder if this the right connection as the sound is poor.

The only output from the Apple TV 4K is the HDMI connector, the older one had optical but this one does not.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have a similar problem, but my receiver says I already have the latest firmware.

Would you by any chance the firmware number?
