Have my vinyl record deck hooked to the Analog line in on my HT-ZF9 and sound is great.
Wondering if I get a multi-room compatible speaker, would I be able to share the analog input to a speaker in a different room? I'm guessing possible not since it's not a digital source, but would love to know ahead of investing in speakers for other rooms
Also - if this does work, would it only be for Sony speakers. The HG-1 looks an OK unit, but TBH the choice of Multi Room compatible speakers from Sony looks to be a tad limited, and most are fairly old models. Be great if Chromecast were usable too.
Realise this is a long shot - doubt many are using their soundbars with analog sources, let alone trying to share the input to speakers in other rooms.
Hi Rob,
Welcome to the community.
I'll see if I can some info for you. Maybe someone else in the community can help in the meantime.
Thanks,
Pascale
Hi Rob,,
As far as I know, the way Multiroom works is you add compatible devices into a single group using the Music Centre app which enables you to play content from that phone and control playback on the connected devices from there. I don't think the sound bar will be able to share the signal with other devices in this case.
