I recently bought Sony Bloggie MHS-PM5 camera. Although I am quite satisfied with it, there is apparently a bug in the video recording functionality. The camera cannot record more than approx. 30 minutes of video continously, although there is plenty of space on the memory card and the battery is not empty. It just turns off and has to be turned back on to continue, which unfortunately is not acceptable for my usage scenarios.
Is there any kind of firmware update to fix this behavior? If not, I will be forced to return this item.

Hi sdenis1,
welcome to Questions & Answers..:smileyhappy:
It states in the Bloggie manual that when shooting movies continuous shooting is possible for approximately 29 minutes..
So it seems this is by design and therefore I doubt a firmware update will be released..:smileysad:

Hi,
It's just a shame
A very good cam indeed, spoiled by this limitation...
I heard nothing about a firmware update wich could fix this.
Do you know if there is another way to bypass this limitation ?
Thx
