Just updraded the software to version 4 on my new NEX5 but when I enter the menu in settings & scroll to Soft Key settings, the options are there but greyed out. When I select an option, a message appears "This function is currently disabled" .
Why am I unable to amend my soft keys?

Is your camera set to P/A/S/M? I've found any other setting greys-out a lot of menu options.

Hello AJFAY86 - welcome to the Sony Forums.
I am checking some of the update details with a colleague and will let you know if there are any known issues with the software update and softkeys.
Thanks
Simon

Agreed. With most of the customisable settings, best to go into the more advanced modes. The auto and preset modes do not give you the same flexibility that is required. Best thing to do is go through each mode and then cross them off to find what settings can be applied..
I know it does happen in aperture priority so manual and shutter priority will also follow suit.
