Hi everyone,
My Sony Z5 has a problem where if headphones (or an official headset - I've tried both) are plugged in, the audio plays through the accessory BUT continues to play through the phones speakers AS WELL.
Seems like a couple of other people have the issue on Twitter too. I've spoken to Sony and they don't know of a fix and are recommending I send it back to them for repair.
Would be interested if you have the same issue and/or if you've found a fix.
Cheers
Go on settings-apps-all-smart connect then clear data. Turn your phone off then on again plug your headphones in before going on the music app then it should work, it worked for me, hope it helps
Sony's smartconnect is buggy, please try installing "SoundAbout" from the play store as this will normally resolve any software issues. The other possibility is that the headphone detection hardware not working. Check the headphone socket is clear of fluff and grit. With the phone off you can carefully remove fluff with a pin....be VERY gentle.
Sorry to hear that.
Could you try to connect your phone to a computer with PC Companion or Xperia Companion installed and see if you have the new update to Android 6.0 that we're currently rolling out available? If so, could you please try to update your phone and let me know if this still happens?
when a plug my head phones in u can tell it's trying to work for about 3-4 secs then nothing. My head phones work fine it's not them as tried on brothers phone..
Had the same issue, cleared Smart Connect data - worked for me, let's see for how long... on my next headphones connect message popped up "if I want Xperia enable any app when I plug in headphones" I choose "yes" and when it opened next window disabled that feature completely.
