Z5 not asking for Sim unlock code when new carrier sim inserted.

hi, does anyone know a way of getting to enter the unlock code manually? 

All the tutorials say if you insert the new sim it will automatically ask for the network unlock code. However, mine does not. Please help!

have you inserted a SIM card from a different carrier? do you have the unlock code?

Yes the phone is locked to EE but inserting a plusnet SIM card. EE have given me the unlock code but the phone isn't giving me the option to put it in..

Hi, did you ever get an answer to this?  I'm having the same problem.  I've got the unlock code from Vodafone,  I put in the SIM card from EE, a message at the top of the screen shows I've no service because it's a different SIM but the phone does not ask me to enter the code.  I've searched on lots of different forums and watched a few videos and on all of them the phone prompts the user to enter the code - my Z5 Compact does nothing and I can't see anywhere in the settings options for how to enter it manually 😞
