Z5 Compact - Continuous reboot

For the last few days, every time i restart the phone it goes into a continuous reboot loop.  It starts to boot and then restarts with the power light flashing three times red.

The only solution i've found is to connect it to the computer and do a software repair via xperia companion.  But this resets the phone so isn't ideal.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Software repair won't continue unless that device has enough battery life left. 

Just connect to your charger using the wall mount adapter and charge for an hour or so.  It might keep on boot looping,  just ignore.  After that connect again to your pc. And repair using Xperia companion

Thanks for the reply, but the device has been on charge all night and is on 100%.

Software repair shows has succeeeded and it works and the phone continues to function until i restart.

You should attempt the repair right after the charging.  Just try again now.  Make sure you follow the instructions on the Xperia companion.  

Did you recently modified your software?  Like flashing or installing another firmware?

Having the same problem with my z5 Premium, I am waiting for a response from sony's support, but it looks like I will have to send it in for waranty repair

It seems like a mechanic issue. Is the power button of your phone kind of broken?

Sorry, turns out it was either a dodgy file or a dodgy memory card.

Once the card had been removed the phone rebooted fine and only then started the reboot issue when the card was reinserted.

Got a new card and all working fine.

 Had the exact same issue and read through so many forums over the internet. No solution offered by Sony whatsoever which is a shame.

Although I am happy to report that unlocking bootloader and installing a Custom ROM (CM13 in my case) fixed the issue permanently for me. I never wanted to do that as I used to like Sony's stock firmware but 2 random reboots everyday out of no readon is a bit too much to consider acceptable.

 I will still keep an eye on future firmware released and if they address this issue, I will be more than happy to come back to stock, at the moment I'm ok with CM13 MM.
