My Z3 Compact is NOT receiving NL-Alert massages (cell broadcast) According to the Government website my Phone should receive them automatically.

@Anita70

That's probably the reason, here in the US if I flash the global generic firmware I don't get "amber alerts" or "weather warnings" etc

@Anita70

was your phone bought in a different country?

No, in The Netherlands although via The IMEI no. Sony could see that it is a German Phone.

OK, sound logical to me, thanks.
Shop tries to convince me that the fact that they sold me a German telephone does not have anything to do with not receiving the alerts.
Looking at it from the bright side: if there is a disaster in Germany I will be among the first to know 😉

Same problem for my phone z3 compact. Bought at NL internet shop. Nl-alert should be automatically available on my phone. In Play store is no nl-alert available to install it.
I am puzzled.

Which Internetshop did you buy Your Phone? If it was Belsimpel than you're having the same problem I had: they have sold you a foreign ( German?) Phone. Look at the manual, is it in Dutch or not? Or ask Sony to check the IMEI number. After I told Belsimpel I was handing the matter over to my laywer (rechtsbijstandverzekering) I was able to return my Phone and got my money back. Bought the exact same Phone via the Experia website and now I am able to receive the Nl-alerts.
