z3 actual call volume after lollipop upgrade.

since my phone upgraded to lollipop the other day my phone speakers actual call volume is so quiet I can't hear anybody, making my phone uaeless to receive calls, yes the side volume is on full . Yet if I play an Mp3 its as loud ad it use to be via kitkat, notifications are ok too as well as the ringtone. Its just the actual call volume which isnow useless unless you're in a month sound proof room.

Anyone know how to fix or if I can roll back to kitkat.

Cheers

Not really sure what you mean. Does the volume decrease by the signal (in each call) or is it between calls? Does the volume adjuster show lower volume as well?

Hi Samuel,

The volume in calls is totally perfect without any problem, people can hear me well and I am able to listen to them as well.

I mean the issue here is I always set the ring volume at the maximum range but everytime someone calls or texts me, I can not hear the notification sounds (when my phone is away from me, for example while charging) until I wake up the screen. I check on the settings after each time it has happened and the volume adjuster is always showed very low volume. It means the phone decreased the volume itself automatically. I do not understand why. Please help me. Thank you!

Alright, thanks for the clarification. You mention charging, does this happen both when connected to the charger and when you have the phone for example in your pocket?

Have you tried running the phone in safe mode to see if the problem persists? This to rule out any interference with 3rd party/installed apps. To start the phone in safe mode you press the on/off key until the menu pops up. After this you press and hold down on the "turn off" option unil you get a menu asking if you want to start safe mode.

Well, actually it happens both while charging and when I put it in the pocket.

I have not tried running it in safe mode yet. I will do it now and tell you. Thank you very much

Great. Try safe mode and let me know what happens.

Hi
About my sony Z3, the top speaker when ringing and when making a call is low. The bottom speaker is ok.

Hi Samuel,

I have figured out which app caused the problem by turning my phone into safe mode. Many thanks for your support. My phone works perfectly now. Your tip was very useful. Wish you have a nice week!

haphuquy I'm glad to hear!

tah306 - I assume you've tried the things I've mentioned earlier in this thread about safe mode etc? If you have, this does sound like a hardware issue to me, but to make sure you should try to repair the phone software via  PC Companion.

Before repairing your device you may want to backup your information first. Check out this topic for more information on how to.
How to backup?

If the issue should still remain I think that this needs to be examined and fixed at a repair center. For more information about how to submit your phone for repair and where, contact your local support team.

How does one troubleshoot using safe mode?

Which app was the troubling your phone?

I have the same problem (low ringtone volume).

Really really annoyed with the lollipop update.
