Z1 freeze

Was typing a text message, part way through the phone has froze. Noresponse from any buttons, cannot switch off. Phone getting very hot. Anuone help?

Press and hold power & volume up for 15 seconds

Thank you for that. It works.

Actually, after posting my problem I did a search on here and one reply for something similar to my problem was to hold the power switch in and press volume down - that did not work for me, so I held the power switch in and decided to press vol up, and it worked.

Within an hour or so the battery went down from 80% to 17%.
