Youtube application not providing 4k resolution on xperia z5 premium. but a basic android has it.

For what i read on this forum post, it's a limitation on the app itself. Google doesn´t support, on Android, 4K resolution. But as far as i know, Z5 Premium up-scales automatically to 4K resolution on select apps
Unfortunately msm8994 does not support 4K on YouTube since he doesn't have a hardware decoder VP9. Using SW decoder VP9 can maximum play 1440p.
