XPERIA Z5 PREMIUM Not switching on after s/w update

Hi

After downloading and installing the Sony update on Thursday or Friday, my phone has been responsive since. Battery was on 100% plus phone was still on charger. 

Now the phone seems to be a brick, I've tried all the recovery options holding down the buttons and keeping the orange button down for 2 minutes with no luck. 

When I put the phone on a charger it just blinks.

Has anyone had this probelm and managed to fix it.

I have the exact same problem! The phone worked fine for a few days after 7.1.1 update, and today it suddenly stopped working. The phone was on during the morning, then the screen wouldn't turn on. Did a reset by pushing the yellow button under the SIM-tray, nothing happened. Can't start in safe mode either. Next step is to do a hard reset using Xperia Companion -.-

Thanks for the reply, let me know the outcome hopefully this issue can be resolved.

Unfortunately, repair using Xperia Companion didn't help. Contacted support and the solution now is to send it in.

Just got it back from the repair center, turns out there was something wrong with the power button. All good now
