Hello,
I have just upgraded from an iPhone 5s to the Z5 Compact, whilst the iPhone paired seamlessly with the OEM bluetooth system in my 2005 E46 BMW the Xperia is unable to do so.
Research suggests this is an in-built issue with the Sony/Android bluetooth on v4.4 and higher, and cannot be resolved.
Before I return the phone for an exchange can anyone confirm that this is indeed the case, and that it is not going to be resolved in the next version of Android?
Thanks
Oliver
Same problem too with my Z5 Compact loose bluetooth connect...
My dad bought a Z5 ..... Previous phone was a Z1 ..... With the new phone (Z5) the Bluetooth connection is lost after a few minutes .
Previous phones are deleted in the list of his car (Volvo xc60) . Even after a firmware update and the latest software it doesnt stay connected . After reading this forum a lot of people with the Z5 have simmilar problems. Please fix this bug Sony.
Very similar issue on my FORD S-Max ´2008. Sony XPeria Z5 Compact, Android 7.0. Whenever in a call, within 1 to 5 mins, the phone is disconnected. Have to reconnect manually during the call, and can proceed. More than just an annoyance, meanwhile a reason if not fixed to never buy a Sony. Nokia E52 and all my Samsung work without disconnecting when in a call.
SURPRISE SURPRISE!
I flashed my phone this morning to 32.3.A.0.378 and the problem is resolved as suspected. I did not want to do this as it voids my warranty, but I was left with no other option as Sony and O2 refused to admit there was a bug, despite the fact they'd patched it in this build!!
