Xperia Z3 Compact not charging

Hi all

I'm having trouble with my Xperia Z3 compact, which isn't charging - if you use the vast majority of chargers. I have been using the supplied Sony wall charger until it stopped a few days ago, and now I can only charge by using an external battery pack, or through one of my old chargers, which appears to work at a lower power output. 

None of the other chargers register with the phone, let alone give the red LED in the corner. 

I've been trying to get charging working using different combinations of key presses, per recommendations on line, and I am able to get a solid blue LED if you plug in the charger while holding the Vol+ button. I've also pressed Vol+ and Power to get 3 vibrations - but neither of these solutions help it to charge. 

Has anyone got any other suggestions?

Welcome to the community.

If it is charging via a battery pack and another charger, then it would indicate that the other chargers are potentially the problem. It could be that the charging pin is loose in the port on the phone too.

If you want to know for sure the best thing to do would be to contact your Local support team to have it assessed.

Hi @Wormtt,

please stop use the combinations of the buttons to "charge" your phone. If you boot your system with one of the pressed buttons you will boot into the flash-//fastboot mode. This mode is only for development and LED indicates only the state of running. In that mode you will be able to delete or override your system or install an other recovery-stystem.
