xperia Z3 and Z3c Distorted Voice Calls When Connected to WIFI

I purchased an Xperia Z3, love the device but experiencing a MAJOR issue with voice calls being distorted when connected to WIFI. The person on the other side of the call can hear me fine but the line on my side of the call is all distorted and garbled. If I switch off WIFI or disconnect from WIFI then the voice calls work perfectly fine. The issue only occurs when I'm connected to WiFi. There seems to be multiple reports of this issue on Whirlpool forums and mainly for Optus customers. My partner's Xperia Z3c is also having the same issue. I returned one Z3 due to this issue and was given a replacement but the issue still persists on the replacement so I think there is a software issue that needs attention and needs to be fixed ASAP!

Yes definitely installed properly, its in phone settings as the reported software version.

As soon as she connects to wifi, and i try to call her, calls are distorted

Maybe you could give it a software reset. Might help. Not sure why you're having issues still. My wife's z3c is able to make and receive voice calls perfectly without any distortion

I am with virgin mobile and the issue has been fixed for me anyway, by the new software update.

Same here. My phone is up to date. Sony asked me to try with the repair function, but it didn't fix the problem.

you say your phone is up to date, but what software version are you on? and what region?

Version 23.0.1.A.5.77, and I'm in Costa Rica. I read previously that this firmware version fixed the problem for you, @itsmehuey. I should also mention that this phone is unblocked, I did not buy it from a telephone company; however, considering what has been said in this thread, it doesn't seem to be an operator problem.

I recently published 2 Sony Z3v through Verizon Wireless, here in the United States. neither phone supported vo - LTE. nothing like being on the phone with a client, using a digital SIP app and having your main number ring. When the cell number rings it kills the data. Basicly hanging up on my client. Also, I pay for Caller-Id, from Verizon and it can't lookup numbers because of turning off the data. I loved the phone otherwise. I went from a Samsung Note 3 to the Sony Z3. Now I have a Motorola Droid Turbo. It can do Vo-LTE but, I still miss my Samsung Note 3. It might not have Vo-LTE but, with 2 radios it doesn't need it.
