Xperia Z2 says no signal most of the time

I am an avid sony fan and I really love my xperia z2 except that I can't use the phone for its main purpose: to text or call or contact someone. It often says 'no service' if not 'emergency calls only'. On the first week, it's not that worst but now almost anywhere I can't contact, except when.in very high open places. My friends have signal bars whereas I have none. I tried changing sim and even factory data reset (as told by the shop) but I don't think my problem was solved. Hoping to get a reply mates thanks in advance.

Did you cut the SIM by yourself?

No. At first i bought a ready micro sim then my second sim was cut by the sim shop.

There may just be low 4G signal where you are; please try this: Main Menu > Settings > More > Mobile Networks > Network Mode > WCDMA prefered/GSM.

But won't using this option disable 4G?  Isn't there a way to get the phone to connect to 2G when the 4G signal is too weak?

Unfortunately if you drop LTE signal it can take quite sometime to establish connection again, in these cases it is best to simply have the handset on the other connection type as above.

Thank you sam but i don't think my problem was solved. It's still hard to text and call. The signal bar above is often with a red x sign. The areas/places that have signal the 1st week I have my handset don't have any signal now. Could this be any hardware problem?

It certainly could be, however you would need to speak with your local Xperia Care team to have an assessment arranged to confirm.

Hi, my problem is same, pls see in attached picture (in Vietnamese, you can see signal bar, it is good enough to make a call).

But my problem is not in most of time. Last month, last week, on a fine day, or this morning, I face this problem.

I dont know when will it appear, may be in tomorrow, may be next month... when I try to make a call, my Z2 answer me like picture

In first time, I dont know how to do --> then restart Z2 --> I can make call properly.

Now, if face problem, I change Air-plane ON then immediatly OFF. I can make call, but it's really DISCOMFORT
