Xperia Z2 mobile supports LTE in India ??

Hi,

I have purchased this mobile in India. I see in the network type that it supports only 2G & 3G . LTE option is not listed in network type.  Is it just software update required or inferior model sold in India ?

Sony did it again, by showing how racists, biased, and liars the are by sellng a product by untrained staffs at authorized dealer . 1. They sell products those are coinconsidered equipped with latest technologies in india but infact is a big lie. I being a Sony loyalists saying this. 2. I had earlier used Sony Xperia Z, and it broke just in a weeks time by a fall from just 3 feet they charged 19k+ for replacement. Till date they have not come to a resolution that how a strong phone considered stronger than metal can break. And now... 3. I bought Sony Xperia Z2 after communicating with one of the sale representative at Tata Croma goregaom mumbai, i was been rest assured that the xperia Zw will support 4g when ever the 4g service launches in Mumbai. Today after speaking to technical support at sony xperia they mentioned the phone doesn't have hardware to support 4g. 3. Rest of the globe Xperi Z2 can support 4g with diffrent model number. So why is sony so biased in not selling the same make when they know there are more Sony mobile user in india than rest of the word they might find. People who support me can reach me so we can go ahead and sign a petation to get Sony banned for selling their inferior product in India. When Samsung launched their product they were ready with their product that can support future technology of 4g. Sony is a cheap and fraud company. Malik Sundrani.

it's really shameful to se Z2 (despite of any model no) the flagship phone doesn't support 4G.. looks like we have been fooled by Sony.... other people are making fun of it as Sony 's flagship phone doesn't support 4g...no one aware abt any model differentiation... this is the things making Sony mobile a loss making company..

No wonder Sony is fast losing its market share. I never could imagine that a premium phone released in 2014 would not have 4G.

I have been buying Sony phones since the last ten years. My ZL lasted only 18 months and it became unrepairable. A pretty short sevice life.

And now I cannot have 4G in my Z2 !! Time to switch to other brands!

Sony Fool ous Slightly_smiling_Face Sony don't care about us and selling world rejected devices in India like Z2 D6502.

Till next year Sony will become Nokia and no one will accept there products even though there are top ranked at previusly.

Not much service centers and not respecting Indian customers, will become Nokia.

Sony must give us some support or update so that z2 D6502 could also support or work on 4g....after spending such a big amount on this phone it's embarrassing that we are unable to enjoy 4g services....

I got fooled too. I checked on the Internet before buying Xperia z1 and Z2, it was written everywhere that phone supports LTE network. I verified it with the dealer from where I bought it. But now I got to know that this phone doesn't support LTE. No wonder Sony is losing it's market. I was a big fan of Sony but now I recommend everyone not to buy any Sony product until they give some kind of substitute for their inferior yet costlier product.
