Xperia Z1 Crash after 5.1.1 update

Hi,i recently got the 5.1.1 update on my Xperia Z1.. And ever since i have updated it,some of the apps like MX Player ,9Gag ,Gallery and a few others keep crashing constantly just after beig opened.. Does anybody else face the same problem?

That sounds like it could be a compatibility issue with apps and 5.1.1. I would look into the apps or contact the app developers to get more information to see what the problem could be.

There are no app updates after the Software Update... I cant use the apps this way till the update comes right.... Its not about one app so that i can contact the app developer.. As Sony has rolled out the update.. It must look into these issues too

I understand it's not one app. You would need to contact the individual developers. Yes, Sony put out the update but they don't have control over what third-party apps do. So no they don't necessarily have to look into those issues. I know that's a bummer. However, you can try contact Sony Xperia support and see what they say or suggestion.

Personally, I would look for other compatible apps on the app store to use since there are so many options while the app developers work on the compatible issue if that is something they are working on.

I disabled in dev options awesome player and disable hw+ decoder on mx player errors disappeared. It's temporary if Sony won't make updates within the month will try custom.

I have the same problems with MX,Instagram and many other apps! And the worst problem that appears after update to 5.1.1 is the Camera error while opening the Camera app!

I have the same problems, after update to 5.1.1 many programs not working. Like sms, gmail, ymail, psiphone and many more...

 After updating my z1 to 5.1.1 lollipop, the camera app doesn't work it always gets stuck on a black screen and many other apps don't work properly including instagram and snapchat (snapchat doesn't open keeps getting stuck on the yellow start-up screen) and most importantly the device heats up a lot even when i'm not using it and the battery drains so quickly while it takes around two hours to get it to 10% charge.. I thought that maybe one of my apps was not capitable with the new software causing the problem however I tried to reset the device to its factory settings yesterday and it worked perfectly fine till today when the same issue is happening again. I haven't even downloaded a lot of apps my device has only whatsapp, twitter, instagram, and snapchat..One more thing is thing is that when I connect my device to my laptop it doesn't get recognized for some reason, it beeps as it got connected to another device (after I did the factory reset and before this issue came back again my mobile would appear on the laptop)... I hope if anyone had an experience with this problem and solved to tell me what to do.. Every help is appreciated, Thanks in advance.

I've had exactly the same trouble mate....
This update is actually worse that's the last. I have to restart the phone....and I have Clean Master on it. Battery drains faster than it's ever done. I Loved my Z1 Compact when I got it, but the software is killing my Love for it, and tbh Sony. Thinking of going back to htc am afraid
