xperia z won't turn on and can't charge.

My phone suddenly won't turn on. I've tried to charged but it wasn't charging coz the LED lighting is not working.

What happen to my phone ? Any solution u can share to me ? i need your help..anyone that know how to solve this problem.

Hello,

To begin, Sorry for my bad English.

My Sony Xperia Z has two pink labels 1 on my USB port and 1 on my SD-Card Reader.
The phone has non official Software so no guarantee.

What happened.

My battery ran out of power, the phone shuts off, so I need to recharge the battery.
I putt the phone to my USB charger but no charge LED (red).
Even if I push my power button no LED blinker. ( 3 times red)

Solution:
At the side of the phone there are 2 copper pins.
You have to putt 2 wires at those points. ( these were used for docking station)
Next you putt 5Volts DC on those wires.

If everything goes right: the red LED will burn.
Hold the wires against the copper ports for +/- 1 minute.
Now putt you USB cable back in you phone and charge it with your USB cable.

It worked for me! 😃 (me happy)

@Tshred, thanks a bunch. Your solution did it for me. My wife had the same problem a couple of months ago. It spontaniously disappeared after the battery was completely drained in this state. I wonder if Sony is aware of this issue and if the know what causes it?

Anyhow, all's well that ends well.

Seems quite a common problem?

My Z won't charge, until the battery is fully exhausted.

When I plug in a charger nothing happens, unless battery is dead when the red light will come on and I'll get the battery symbol on screen and it will charge.

If I try to connect it to PC Companion, my PC tells my the USB device is unrecognised and PC Companion can't even see it.

What a mess......

Just did a full factory reset, didn't make a blind bit of difference.

Tried that, makes no difference.

The PC beeps and I don't get the USB unrecognised message, but PC Update won't recognise it.

Tried it on my laptop, this time PC Update knows something is there and laptop starts to try and install but then tells me it's failed.

Seems a problem in the phone for sure, very strange.
