Sometimes while using camera (taking several photo) phone loses SD card and doesn't recognize it. Sometimes it can be solved by restarting phone (power off, wait a couple minutes, power on), removing and inserting SD card, and other geek methods. Last time phone lost SD and these actions didn't bring any result. However, phone see SD for now, but offers to format memory card while my PC opens it without any problem via card reader.
I'm using Transcend Ultimate 32 GB (class 10) memory card. Do I have to try using any other vendors? And is it a software problem or I have to bring my phone to service center?
Upd: Transcend SD become dead, I bought Sandisk Ultra 32 GB, and sometimes I see this problem with new one.
Solved! Go to Solution.
No luck for me
on another thread here someone reported that sandisk cards are thinner than other makes and could cause a marginal connection in the phone - this would support the symptoms you are having, the solution seems to be to build up a layer of tape on the (none contact side) upper side of the card to increase the thikness slightly , sounds very plausible
read this linky - not just 64gb cards and not just experia Z but you will see post 86 in middle a possible explanation and solution

No, two layers of tape didn't help me
Going to try the next layer
At last third layer of tape doesn't help
Also users who had problems with SD say that formatting SD to exFAT file system (and using it on rooted phone) solve problem (card self-unmounting while copying many huge files at one time, opening camera with caching pictures, etc) absolutely.
Meanwhile.. 8 months went through, but my problem is on the way (SXZ .67 FW, Sandisk Ultra 32 GB, ExFAT)..
Sandisk 32 is being thrown out sometimes.
Today I bought Sony SR-32UYA SD card - so I will be watching it. I'm too tired to proof the problem, if it will be seen, I will change my phone for other vendor
UPD: It seems that happiness came to me. I performed high load testing - it works without any breaks
Updated my phone yesterday & since then i've been getting messages saying 'mem card unexpectedy removed' & similar messages & now neither my phone nor pc recognises the memory card. Surely it's not coincidence so many people having same issue. Xperia Z San Disc 32GB mem card Class 4. I contacted Sony but they're blaming the memory card which was new when bought 4 months ago just after i got my phone. I can't believe Sony are dismissing this so lightly but i'm sure people will reflect their disapproval when choosing their new handset.
