Hi. Hope somebody can help me. I am experiencing very slow internernet connection when connected via WIFI. This goes for any network I am connected to - and for any app. When I turn off WIFI, the speed increases to normal.
Of course I have cleared cache, and I have scanned for malware.
Any tips?
Yeah a couple of tips.
That is the advise I can give you, or take it back if you are lucky enough to be under warranty.
I purchased this to use PS4 remotely but even in my local network it **bleep**, so I just learned to leave with this **bleep**ty(most expensive I've ever had) phone!

I was having the same problem. Very slow loading videos on Facebook App, and Youtube App. Chrome navigation was slow but not that bad as Youtube and Facebook.
What I found is that my router was transmitting in CHANEL 11 which apparently doesn´t go well with the phone because other devices and PC´s were completely fine, just this little expensive and not so good phone had problems with that. Even a Samsung cheap smartphone loaded videos with no problem.
So back to the solution, I tried looking for the option of GHz to switch between 2.4 to 5 GHz on the options of my modem but couldn´t find it so reading an article I decided to try the channel. I switch from eleven to 6 and nothing really change, but at the beginning, it seemed to improve just a bit. Still looking for some real change I went and try channel 1. Omg, as soon as that modem restarted, all the apps and videos were flying as they should, no stop, just loading way way faster, you didn´t even wait for anything in none of the apps mentioned before.
So apparently this phone can´t handle interference very well, and it works better on some channels.
I'm sorry for bringing this old post up, but I want to add that this is still relevant.
I was experiencing serious slow Wi-Fi on my Xperia X Compact. All my other devices were working just fine except my phone. Followed the advice from Yarko4 about switching the Wi-Fi channel from 11 to 1, and the problem is solved. I guess this is related to old router configurations.
Hope this can help more people later.
