If you have no problem with the D6616 or do not plan to travel out of the country, you should be fine with your purchase. But if you do intend to need more cellular bands on your phone then I would suggest contacting that seller. And you are right, KitKat is way better for battery performance.
Judging by the fact that the D6603 does not come in a 32GB option it may have been possible that thte seller has rooted a D6616 (T-Mobile Variant) and loaded the international Rom version of the D6603 onto it. Hence why all software shows as the D6603 but the certificate says D6616.
On a side note I have done this type of thing before to my Xperia Z T-Mobile Variant because T-Mobile wouldn't push anymore updates, while the international variant had been updated to lollipop.
I think software shows D6603 version because it´s a trick made by the seller. I havent heard of a 32gb version of D6603, it must be D6616. however i´m happy with the 32 gb version and it´s compatible with the band 4 LTE lol. the only thing i don´t like a lot is the phone coming rooted from box. it could void the warranty.
Aside from being rooted most likely the previous owner flashed the phone, contact them directly regarding this.

@greatmant So finally it's D6616. I will not travel too much out of the country, and I have a 16 gb plus so I will be fine. My surprise was to see the phone rooted when I bought it brand new. Thank you for answering!
