When I use the wifi on my phone it turns the wifi off to all other devices in the house.

could you elaborate?
The reason is that you can't use wi-fi and tethering/hotspot at the same time.
It's only one or the other.
Not both.
Did a hard reboot to solve problem.
So... you are saying that your phone does offer wi-fi and tethering hotspots at the same time?
