Warranty Query

The Ear speaker on my Z5 compact stopped working. My warranty expires on the 30th November 2017, I contacted Sony support in the UK on the 28th November they said no problem 'send it in, the fault has occured within the 2yr warranty period we'll get in sorted' 'I'll specifically note our screens'. The device was picked up by Sony's appointed courier on the 29th but have now emailed me to say that because their repair centre has only received the device the 30th November its outside the warranty and they want £100+ to repair the phone. I've asked to speak to a manager but all they have said it they wil refer it to their complainst dept and get back to me - I'm not optimistic. Has anyone else had this problem? I cannot believe the lack of help particularly when a sony employee has said we'll resolve the matter.

I understand you have tried to contact the repair centre, have you also tried contacting your Local support again to discuss this with them as they originally arranged the repair for you?
