Unlocking Bootloader for Xperia Z2

Hi all ,

I have a question regarding the unlocking boatloader effects on the Xperia Z2 devices and i hope that i can find the answer in your forums :

1- Does unlocking the bootloader void my phone waranty ?

2- does unlocking boatloader will stop functionalities like X-Reality and Boinz Processing engine as were in the Xperia Z1 ?

3- what other functionality i will lose if i unlocked my bootloader device ?

Thank you for your help and support , i need this info in order to share it with the XDA Xperia Z2 forums as they still confused regarding the above questions .

Unlocking your Bootload may void your warranty as per the wording but it would be probably safe to say that it will void your warranty going off past threads from other members with different handsets,

However for issues it's best to head over to XDA like here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2702001 and read through the threads for more info or other threads like it also on XDA

thanks brother , i just wanted to double check .

Regarding my other two questions , do you have answer for them , as far as I know from my previous xperia z1 experience we will lose the x-reality and Bionz Processing engine after unlocking the boat loader , but I need an official word from Sony for the Xperia Z2 Community in the XDA .

Also you won't get to use any special offers in xperia lounge.

I do not have a list of the specific applications, however all of the proprietary ones you have mentioned will cease to work, and you will not be able to sue the standard PC Companion or Update Service to update/repair your handset.

Actually there are conflicting answers. Usually you will lose DRM, X-Reality(or Bravia on older models) & Bionz when you unlock your bootloader.

Jackos,  a recognised developer on XDA posted about a reply he got from Sony. Seems that the only thing you lose is DRM and the Update Centre. X-reality & Bionz will still function. Here's the post > http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=856195

Are the DRM keys actually lost? I can't test this as my bootloader cannot be unlocked.

if the bootloader is unlocked on the Z1 running 4.4.2 the DRM keys are not lost.

the thing is that some guys are arguing about unlocking boatloader will make the Z2 devices lose X-Reality and bioz processor engine or not , some developers claims that it will not as sony have fixed this after the 4.3  update .

I would like to see some kind of list what works and what will no more work..

if BionZ is gone this means Camera is no more capable of all it's features?
