unable to restore from backup

unable to restore from backup via my xperia z app my password is not working after gettin my phone it fix i know my password i put in but it still would not let me restore my phone dose anyone no why i only need my notes

whas your backup made from 4.2.2? if so then you wont be able to restore it on 4.3 since it states when you update/install 4.3 that older backups made in backup/restore app will no longer be able to be restored.

Do you have the backup file(with .dbk extension)?

If you do not have the backup file,I am not aware of how you could restore...

backup/restore is not the only solution for making backups. There is also PCC.

Does the same limitation apply to backups made using PCC?

If yes I wonder very well because Sony generally recommends to make backup before every update/upgrade of firmware.

These two facts are in conflict!!

What if firmware update or upgrade fails? No way to get recovered to the state prior start of fw update / upgrade?

hi, the back up may have deen saved on your pc, tbh when i did mine fom a c902 i didnt use the software as would not work so fooled it by not letting it update but that was ages ago

I think i have also the same backup restoring problem.I am using Sony Xperia™ Z3 Compact. I try to restore my backup( Sony Xperia™ Z3 Compact (D5803).dbk) file throgh my pc but it could reading properly its showing some error message.What should i do next.please help me.
