Unable to answer calls

Hi,

I haven't used my phone for a while and recently updated to the latest Android (5.1.1). Ever since I am unable to accept voice calls (GSM). The phone rings normally, but whenever I click/slide accept, the call is ended staight away. I can make a phonecall (I can call the person back), there's no problem with that. Any solutions? I know that SW reset/wipe would probably solve this, but nuclear options are always the last resort for me...

Also, before the SW update, I was able to accept calls without any problems if I remember.

Hi @JohnnyG, sorry to hear about this. Slightly_frowning_Face

Just to make sure that this is not caused by a third party application, try restarting your device in safe mode and ask someone to call you, or if you have another phone you can call yours from and see if you are able to answer the call when downloaded applications aren't loaded.

You can also try and reset and the Phone application in the device. To do that, go to Settings > Apps > scroll to the right until you end up at "All". Scroll down and find "Phone" (if you have more than one application called Phone, choose the one that is the biggest in size) > Clear data > OK.

Let me know if that helps!
