Transfer data to SD card notification

I keep getting a really annoying 'Transfer data to SD card' notification in my notification list, there is also an icon in my notification bar that keeps asking me to move everything to the SD card because the storage is 75% full. I have done this and now there is nothing to transfer to the SD card (the actual button in the transfer menu is greyed out) but it still pops up every time i remove it. There is 2.21GB left on internal storage so enough room for plenty more apps etc. so there is no reason why it should pop up. Does anyone know how to get rid of this?

You may actually be able to turn off this notification. When you get the notification, tap and hold it, select info about the app and then turn off the option for messages in this app.

Hi tom.durkin,

There is no way to stop it. Keep in mind about 2 Gb is 75% so that is why it is telling you. Sometimes when there's nothing to move it appears just to remind you. You can't stop it from appearing again but you can clear in from the notification bar by just sliding it to any side or pressing the "clear" button.

Re: Transfer data to SD card notification

Check with the maker of that application (Unlikely). Cannot do that with any current phone unless rooted these days. Internal memory is needed today to make majority of apps run better so it's a waste of time. Good applications will move their "data" to SD within the application settings and that helps save space. Good Ebook reader, RSS feed, Music/Video, Photo SW all have store data on SD.

Using 1.4GB with 68 applications and 10.0 Free. Big games, I'll play through, delete and install something else.

A rooted phone with the right application will let you move apps that support SD transfer but on your own with that!

hi,

i keep getting that notification also, i have transfered my photos and videos to the SD card and now those photos are not on my phone anymore, normal right? not really as it says i still have 15gb on my sd card so where have my photos gone?(i have not put the sd card in a adaptor and put in commputer yet to see if the photos are there.

main question:

how can i manage my memory so that i have 15gb(sd card) and 5gb(internal storage) all there in my phone. so that i dont have to keep transferring my data to the sd which i cannot access?

please

I have a similar issue but it's just the audio files I can't move, the option is greyed out when performing transfers, my only thought is that when I set up the phone and migrated all my data from my iPhone it doesn't register the audio files in the right way, they play fine though. Using a Z2 any advice?

I did as you suggested however it shows the app notification as already in the off position. Its very annoying and it is constantly popping up. This only began after the android 5 update. Please help. also in lock screen it says "no service" at top left of notification bar. As far as i can tell there is no issues with my service. 3rd the camera quality is not as good as reviews would lead me to believe. most pictures are rather grainy and this is on high MP ...what could be the problem? i have auto pictures thing set as on.

thanks

BTW i have an Xperia Z3
