Transfer data to SD card - not working at all

My internal memory is about 75% full so I bought a 32GB SD card.

When I go to Settings -> Storage -> Transfer data to SD card nothing happens at all.  No error message, dialog or notification appears.

I have seen what is supposed to happen form instructional videos.

I can see the SD card is present in the storage menu with approx 29GB free, and I can view the card in ES File Explorer.

The best and most sure way to do this is to connect your device to a Pc and transfer your files that way but do them a few at a time

I'm having the same exact problem and I can't find anything online addressing this particular issue. Surely the solution is not connecting the device to the computer and transferring files one by one!?

Shut down device, remove sd, blow inside the sd open, insert sd boot device.

Try now.

How can I boot the device? Just switch it off and on again, or something else?

Please help me to transfer data to the SD card because inner storeage is full. So, this way couldn't load any thing.
