Touch Screen Issues

I can't seem to use any pen/pencil with my Z Ultra.  Everything else works perfectly, touch screen-wise.  Just for some reason it doesn't read input from a pen or pencil.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Have you apply an extra film protector?

actually i too got this problem since the owning z ultra, tried many bold tip ballpoints even pencils wider then 0.5, recognition a bit weak... no film protector applied... just worried it will spoil the screen when push to hard.

oh, and i also tried samsung note 2 stylus.. no can do too

I only have one layer on it.

Today as I was messing around, I could use regular wooden pencils with it.  But I can't use mechanical pencils, pens.

Unfortunately if the tip too narrow (<1mm) you will have issues getting ti to work, though I wouldn’t want to use anything with that fine an edge anyway as it would be quite sharp.

My Wacom stylus doesn't register at all and so far it's 50/50  when I use a pen or pencil. Some times it will work, sometimes not.

I have found my finger works better than anything...seriously!

I have the Z ultra for more than a month now. I only tried to use this feature today and it does now work. I've tried using a pen, a pencil, a coin, and other similar objects. The screen is not responding to them.

In case it matters forgot to mention that it's a 6833 with android 4.2.2.

Mine works with metal pens. I put on a tempered glass protector. In the sketch app, using pens isn't perfectly responsive though.
