If I understand you correctly, you do not have a alarm active but you still can see the icon on the home screen? Or where do you see the icon? 

I would recommend you to begin with clearing data for the clock application. You can do this by following this guide: Go to settings > Choose "Apps" > Find and select the app "Clock" > Select "Storage" > Select "Clear data" and OK.

This will affect your alarms, they will be deleted and you will be needed to add them again.
