Hi,
I'm angry that my Xperia Z5 Compact has a major sound quality problem - static / noise/ hissing audible especially when listening at low volumes, sound from the speakers is also affected, but it's less pronounced.
I could request a warranty repair, but I know it won't help (it's enough to read other people's posts on the subject) and I also know that you, Sony, is not going to fix it other way - you would already do it, wouldn't you? Soon most sold Z5 Compacts will be out of warranty, and you won't have to even pretend that you support your customers.
I made a mistake of giving you more money - buying another product - noise cancelling headphones, only to be able to hear the hissing better, I suppose? What use is the noise cancelling if the sound quality is so awful.
I can give you some hints on the source of the problem that you won't use, of course:
There has to be something wrong in the way low sampling rate sound files processed either by the software or the hardware (or how the hardware is driven by the software) - resampling a file from 44KHz to 192KHz results in tremendous sound quality improvement - noise is gone. That's what your DSEE HX processing does as well probably, hence enabling it helps with the problem as well. So... you coud fix your software or admit that you use broken hardware that you can't fix, instead of selling lies about the great sound quality of your devices - "Only the best sound" - what a laugh!
Those who care about sound quality should stay away from Sony smartphones with the company failing to adress the dreadful sound quality of supposedly premium products such as Xperia Z5 Compact!
Managed to demonstrate the problem in a recording. See the YouTube video.
