Sound control complication

Hi All!

There is a potential complication on sound control.
- Problem occurence

When I use media player (listening music) and I wish to put my phone in silent mode, then I have to send the media player application to the background in order to make the system to realize that the context is changed and when I use the side volume button then my intention is to handle the system sound settings otherwise it controls the media playback sound.

- Solution

In pre-Lollipop ages the navigation drawer pull-down menu contained proper handler options but now it is missing. Please make it available again because it is more than complicated to handle functionality properly, user friendly as it is expected.

Thanks.

@Gergo

This has been posted before, Sony is aware of this, and I totally agree with you, it's NOT ideal

Sound control context is buggy

Changing context: sending app into background to make the system realize that sound control context is changed.

Media player in the background, Headset pulled off, reconnected while screen is off then music player won't start when play button used on sony mdr headset but if screen turned on then media player gets the play event and start. If screen on it works.

Sometimes media player cannot be controlled via side buttons. Dropdown slider shows that media volume is changing but media player still uses the same volume level. After changing context several times it works again. (caching?)

Media player stopped, sent to the background, screen off, headset pulled off, then google's talkback service usage notes are on the loud speaker twice one after the other with. Cannot interrupt it.

Finally, no way to put phone to silent mode when media played is active.

Please fix these usability issues.
Thanks!

Hi!

As next section of sound control problems, the situation is as follows.
During in-call the sound is automatically turned down. Initally it shows it is on maximum but after some "put phone to my ear and take back" it is about 30%.
More over the overall volume is much lower than before even if it is on max.
Running a feature test it seems to be Ok but during a call the buggy behaviour comes back so without heaeset it is impossible to use phone now.

Investigate and fix it.
