Sony Xperia Z3 compact issues. 'Unfortunately Sony Xperia Home has stopped working'

Help.
My Sony Xperia Z3 compact, has just started to displaying popups saying 'Unfortunately Xperia home has stopped'
Can anyone help me resolve this??

Settings -apps- all- xperia home, force stop and clear data. Restart.

Yes I have and I think I have sorted out this problem now by the help of another good peroson on this forum.

I, too, have started having this issue bur ONLY after the recent lollypop update to 5.0.2 and I am surprised there is not more chatter on here. Although this is the first place I have looked. I do not have anything new running and other than the Sony Apps that get updated and added I do not see any changes in my services/applications list. I always seem to have extra memory, I am a low-power user and I tend to keep things I am not using closed.

Once stopped I can use the 'home' button and it returns or sometimes I restart just for grins.

too bad the previous questioner forgot to return with details of the fix found.

any ideas?

Have same problem on my E3 but having got in to settings and apps can’t find ‘all’
