after pulling one of my z5c apart and setting everything inside, I can say that it will be fragile in a sense where time and heat could probably accelerate manufacturing defects in the plastic which would cause it to snap... the buttons on the side are one long thin piece of plastic inside, that push on to electronic switches directly... unlike the keys on a computer keyboard that have their own mechanical components for each individual key
